Bismuth Cluster

The Bismuth cluster is a 32-node 1024-core machine, purchased in 2017.
  • 32 compute nodes in a single rack;
  • 2 CPUs (Xeon Gold 6130/6130F, Skylake) per node. 32 physical cores;
  • 144GB RAM per node, 2666MHz;
  • 2TB scratch area per node (two 1TB 7200rpm);
  • One 48-port 100G Omni-Path switch.

Zinc Cluster

The Zinc cluster is a 64-node 1024-core machine, purchased in 2012.
  • 64 compute nodes in a single rack;
  • 2 CPUs (Xeon E5-2650 Sandy Bridge) per node. 16 physical cores;
  • 64GB RAM per node, 1600MHz;
  • 2TB scratch area per node (two 1TB 7200rpm);
  • One 108-port InfiniBand QDR Switch.
The head node has the same configuration, except for larger disk space.
